Requirements

  • Ideally two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience.
  • Financial services industry experience required; Banking specific experience is desired.
  • Must have management experience leading geographically dispersed teams, coordinating development activities across organizational lines, and successfully delivering applications with medium to large complexities.
  • Experience managing technical resources to deliver software projects both vendor purchased and in-house developed.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and implementing process in Azure DevOps or any other tools.
  • Experience implementing scalable, distributed and highly responsive financial applications.
  • Need to have a reporting / BI background and knows how to put structure and process in place within team.
  • Experience in Cognos, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to AWS data lake is big plus.
  • Possess highly effective written and oral communication; excellent organizational and project management skills, and team player that is assertive, passionate, and goal oriented.
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to think out-of-the box.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mind-set.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build consensus across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and optimization of BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Manage the lifecycle of reporting applications and analytics platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data delivery and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities, including after-hours and weekend support as needed.
  • Oversee the on-call rotation for nightly batch processing and issue resolution.
  • Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions.
  • Understands and apply enterprise wide thinking to individual departmental requests for IT investments to ensure end-to-end process and data integration are achieved.
  • Leads projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria including those established by the business, capital expenditure and budget requirements.
  • Works with vendors to implement off-the-shelf solutions as well as modified versions of their products.
  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
  • Influences the prioritization of business unit technology projects, optimal project structure and project administration to ensure strategic business objectives are met and risk is managed.
  • Focuses on workforce management to accurately capture IT resource capacity involving resources (internal and/or external), processes and practices.
  • Develops and maintains development methodology (templates, processes and deliverables) and ensures all IT resources understand their responsibilities in this process.
  • Partners with Architecture Team to assess how technologies can best streamline processes and/or add business value.
  • Provides quick project turnarounds and flexibility by leveraging SDLC methodology and industry best practices.
  • Remains up to date on key technology, business and industry trends.
  • Develops budget/ annual goals and objectives; holds organization accountable for attaining goals and objectives.
  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Cognos, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot is highly preferred.
