Responsibilities
- Engage in strategy and execution and work closely with the BU leadership on various aspects of the development and execution to provide a secure, efficient, and innovative infrastructure solutions.
- Work closely with the field leadership on key customer needs, engagements and support activities that can grow the business.
- Pioneering storage engineering initiatives to design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure platforms that support HV’s operational and strategic objectives.
- Collaborating closely with Security & Compliance teams to implement and enforce policies and configurations that meet HV security standards.
- Partnering with Product Management to develop and enhance the core platform capabilities, enabling efficient deployment and testing processes.
- Overseeing the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of resources, focusing on performance, cost management, and security.
- Acting as a subject matter expert in Hardware and software technologies, guiding the engineering team and partnering with IT, security, support, and business teams to deliver projects that align with strategic goals.
- Establishing metrics and reporting mechanisms for health, performance, and costs, making recommendations for enhancements to senior leadership.
- Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, staying ahead of industry trends and evolving customer needs to recommend and implement changes in the core platform.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with an in depth understanding of Systems and Software engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud services, including significant leadership experience in storage or networking engineering roles.
- Proven track record in implementing cloud strategies, with hands-on experience in filesystems and/or data center infrastructures.
- Deep understanding of Storage or systems infrastructure tooling such as networking, virtual machines, key management, and more.
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with a focus on developing skills and capabilities in mission critical infrastructure.
