Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design.
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry
  • Proficiency in design and integration using Creo Parametric.
  • Experience in Windchill.
  • Proficiency in drawing generation, checking, and release processes.
  • Proficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
  • Experience with tube and pipe generation and routing.
  • Experience selecting standard aerospace hardware, fasteners, bushings, washers, etc.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world-class engineered products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of design and manufacture of vehicle structure, mechanisms, and components.
  • Use CAD to generate models and drawings, propose design alternatives, create interface control documents, and deliver geometry suitable for Finite Element Models (FEM).
  • Incorporate drafting standards and standard drawing notes based on company, program, and industry standards.
  • Perform model and drawing check activities during release reviews.
  • Coach, mentor, and technically assist other designers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in aerospace development (launch vehicle or aircraft).
