Technical Advisor-Test Engineering

Requirements

• BS/BA and 10 years of experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to work with integrated teams comprised of military, civilian, and contractor personnel
• Experience working in a DoD security environment
• Top Secret/SSBI security clearance
• Must have completed a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the past six (6) years or currently enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program

Responsibilities

• Produce and/or review DoD acquisition T&E products such as the Cost and Requirements Document, Capabilities Production Document, Capabilities Development Document, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, etc.
• Provides timely and accurate test-program status updates
• Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (System Readiness Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.), program management and Test Readiness Reviews
• Participate in technical interchanges in support of T&E objectives
• Review of the technical aspects of proposals that pertain to T&E missions
• Manage and verify the Prime’s performance to the contract’s specifications and requirements
• Provide expert assistance to the AST throughout the Operational Testing (OT) process
• Prepare independent assessments and analysis of OT progress for each major testing event, highlighting the deficiencies and the operational impacts discovered during OT
• Provide mitigation strategies as needed
• Assist with management of acceptance testing efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating aircraft, airborne systems, or weapon systems
• Operational experience with DoD active-duty customers
• Experience with Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office
• Candidates are preferred to graduate within a Technical discipline, but it is not required
