Requirements
- Post-secondary, vocational, or technical training in a relevant field.
- In-depth understanding of industry practices related to safe electric utility distribution system operations and the electric service restoration process.
- Ability to work effectively with people and build strong working relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and resource management skills to handle complex situations.
- Intermediate computer skills to manage operational tasks efficiently.
- Previous line experience preferred but not required. A 4-year degree is preferred, but equivalent experience is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the implementation of daily operating plans, maintain current electrical system status, and implement actions to compensate for system disturbances.
- Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally, ensuring satisfaction and reliability.
- Oversee company and contractor technical personnel involved in real-time actions related to power system reliability.
- Assist/Coordinate with managing construction projects, maintenance tasks, and emergency response efforts to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments to improve job efficiencies and reduce operating costs by researching and implementing ‘Best Practices’ and new technologies.
- Be prepared to work 2nd shift as required to support continuous operations.
