Requirements
- BA/BS in accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of corporate tax experience, either within industry or public accounting
- Any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background
Responsibilities
- Prepares federal and state income tax returns in accordance with applicable tax laws.
- Prepares tax provisions and assists in the preparation of related tax disclosures for statutory or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial statements.
- Prepares miscellaneous state and local tax filings.
- Assists in the research and analysis of tax developments and their application to specific business situations.
- Assists or lead in other tax department activities, including projects, research, and tax examinations.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or person eligible to sit for CPA examination preferred
- Experience with insurance preferred
