Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of corporate tax principles and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Calculate estimated tax payments and file extension requests
- Monitor and ensure compliance with sales and use tax, property tax, and other relevant taxes
- Conduct tax research and analyze new tax legislation
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Respond to tax notices and audits, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
- Maintain audit ready documentation and compliance calendars
- Collaborate with finance and accounting departments
- Participate in tax planning, process improvements, and system implementations
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing reports and documentation
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tax technology solutions to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or coursework related to tax or accounting
- Familiarity with tax software and accounting systems
