Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of corporate tax principles and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Calculate estimated tax payments and file extension requests
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with sales and use tax, property tax, and other relevant taxes
  • Conduct tax research and analyze new tax legislation
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Respond to tax notices and audits, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Maintain audit ready documentation and compliance calendars
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting departments
  • Participate in tax planning, process improvements, and system implementations
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing reports and documentation
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tax technology solutions to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or coursework related to tax or accounting
  • Familiarity with tax software and accounting systems
