Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a relevant field of study.
  • You have at least 5 years of tax accounting or finance experience in tax planning, income forecasting and modeling and have an interest to learn the investment management industry as it relates to US and non-US tax regulations, investment mandates, investment vehicle structures, investment operations, and the reporting and regulatory environment.
  • You’re well-versed in using Excel to store, present, process and dissect data. You’ve written versatile formulas to solve complex problems.
  • You bring exceptional quality, analysis and attention to detail to work deliverables. You like digging into numbers, telling stories with data, and can read and interpret financial statements, company press releases, and analyst opinions.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable and experienced in communicating complex issues to senior business leaders clearly and concisely.
  • You can make decisions based on ambiguous or conflicting data, while being resourceful and analytical based on tax/accounting principles, to support or evolve the decision you made.
  • You can work in a daily deadline driven environment and available to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily income research and analysis on individual stocks as well as monitoring, projecting, and forecasting income primarily for equity securities.
  • Perform ad hoc income analysis and present the findings to portfolio managers and analysts.
  • Assist treasurers with ensuring each fund satisfies distribution requirements and tax strategies.
  • Play a critical role as a subject matter expert in the income and distribution pod and provide guidance that is used in the investment process.
