Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce, or Taxation.
- Solid understanding of tax law, tax research skills, and familiarity with various tax returns and schedules
- Experience with Data Cleaning / Modeling / Visualization in programs such as KNIME, Power Query, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Experience (1-3 years) with US tax reporting of international operations or other relevant tax experience
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or publicly traded multinational corporation
- Experience using corporate tax compliance and provision systems (preferably Corptax)
- Software Knowledge – SAP, Microsoft Office, Corptax, KNIME, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI
Responsibilities
- Integrate technology with tax calculations and modeling to support tax forecasting and compliance, including a desire for technology curiosity and a dedication to continuous improvement.
- Support the tax compliance process, including preparation and review of information returns for the US income tax return, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and related disclosures.
- Calculate international tax attributes and positions during the quarterly tax provision and forecast processes, including estimating E&P, subpart F, GILTI and FDII, PTEP pools, and foreign tax credits.
- Assist in accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) for a publicly traded multinational corporation, including quarterly tax provision calculations, journal entries, and SEC compliance and reporting.
- Contribute to statutory tax audits by capturing information, preparing draft responses, and detailing conclusions.
- Continue to develop and maintain knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and current tax developments, including research and documentation of tax issues as needed.
- Collaborate with various business and accounting personnel throughout the Company to capture and analyze tax data.
- Complete other tax related projects as assigned.
