Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline.
  • Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Strong knowledge of DNS, LDAP, and enterprise update services such as YUM or DNF.
  • Proficiency with Shell, Perl, or PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization concepts.
  • Experience integrating Linux systems with Windows Active Directory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems for mission-critical environments.
  • Integrate Linux systems with Windows Active Directory to enhance cross-platform functionality.
  • Implement and maintain protocols such as DNS, LDAP, and enterprise update services (e.g., YUM, DNF, RedHat Satellite).
  • Automate system tasks using Ansible modules, Shell, Perl, or PowerShell scripting to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain virtualization platforms with VMWare to optimize resource allocation and performance.
  • Collaborate with teams to support system upgrades, backup administration, and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Manage and secure system environments to meet ICD-503 and DoD compliance standards.
  • Develop and execute system monitoring strategies to ensure reliability, security, and availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NetApp cluster administration experience.
  • Experience with NetBackup or other backup technologies.
  • Expertise in implementing Ansible modules and version control with Git.
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Familiarity with Trellix Anti-Virus or similar enterprise-level security solutions.
