Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment and being part of highly integrated Agile teams working closely with multiple engineering development teams (SW, HW, Cyber, SYS)
  • Experience with system design, requirements management, interface definition, integration and test
  • Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a Dedicated Team on Cross Domain Solutions: Work closely with a motivated and dynamic team of professionals, as well as both internal and external stakeholders, to drive system engineering design and development activities for our innovative Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) products
  • Engage in the Secure Systems Development Lifecycle: Actively participate in the full secure systems development lifecycle, including trade study execution, system design, requirements definition, allocation and traceability, system integration, and rigorous verification testing and qualification to ensure top-quality, secure solutions
  • Gain Hands-On Experience with Open System Architecture: Develop a strong understanding and hands-on experience in open system architecture development, including systems security, software, and hardware engineering, expanding your expertise in all facets of system engineering
  • Contribute to AGILE Execution Plans and Risk Mitigation: Play a key role in the development and execution of AGILE plans, ensuring alignment with program cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Understand program risks and variances, contributing to the creation of mitigation plans, and becoming fully engaged in the day-to-day activities of the Cross Domain product development
  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies and Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate in and facilitate essential Agile ceremonies, such as sprint reviews, user story refinement, and end-of-sprint product demos, helping drive continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using the Atlassian resource suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools
  • Systems engineering experience executing development of security hardened systems/products within a classified development environment
  • Recent and relevant experience with the secure systems engineering development process including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation
  • Systems support to software application development, hardware development, application integration
