Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering Degree, with 12+ years of industry experience
  • Proven track record of delivering AI platform solutions, rack scale or related field from concept to production
  • Experience in technical and leadership presentations, guide and influence internal and external partners

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a product definition towards enabling next generation AI system platforms, prototype solutions, and deliver platform from hardware concept into large scale deployment
  • Work in a collaborative environment across Meta, with system and silicon suppliers to enable Meta’s requirements
  • Design the next generation of scalable, open platforms and integrate these into high-volume production systems
  • Work with supplier ecosystem to evaluate designs for high performance designs meeting Meta’s scale-up and scale-out network requirements, using electrical and/or optical interconnects
  • Work hands-on for hardware design, debug, validation and optimization of the products
  • Support reliable production operation of Meta’s platform across our data center, and work with our internal partners to develop efficient automation tools to improve operation efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven systems and solutions knowledge spanning AI architectures, network architectures, and associated network protocols and technologies
  • Detailed system knowledge of GPUs, CPUs and switch ASICs, optics, and advanced electrical interconnects
  • Experience with system design including power, cooling, PCB design, optics and high speed signals
  • Knowledge of networking architectures, network protocols and computer communication
  • Knowledge of optical technologies including pluggable and integrated optics.
  • Advanced knowledge in signal integrity and high-speed design
  • Knowledge or experience in semiconductor devices, VLSI design, microelectronic device
  • Experience working with cross functional engineering teams such as AI system engineers, compute, storage and network engineering, software, manufacturing, signal integrity and optical teams, discussing architecture and system trade-offs
