Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree from an accredited university or college.
- 10+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry.
- 4+ years of experience working in a Systems Engineering position and 3+ years of experience managing a team.
- Familiarity with all phases of the Systems Engineering design process: ConOps, requirements development, software/system Architecture, system Integration and test, Verification and Validation.
- Experience with ARP 4754A as well as support for System Safety reviews per ARP 4761.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the system development activities including planning, requirements, design, implementation, verification, and validation.
- Ensure compliance with ARP-4754A development practices and produce necessary artifacts.
- Ensure system design compliance with certification, cyber security, quality, and safety standards.
- Continuously improve the system engineering processes and methodologies.
- Perform all Systems Engineering aspects of project planning, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Responsible for the people management aspect of the system engineering organization including hiring, performance evaluation, providing feedback, and support and guidance on professional development.
- Provide executive status reports to leadership as required during weekly status checks and monthly PMRs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Experience working on certified aerospace programs.
- Knowledge of MBSE development (CAMEO).
