Requirements
- MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related fields with five years of work experience
- Ability to work effectively with little supervision and achieve results in a timely manner
- Proven track record of technical issues resolution
- Good problem solver who works well as part of a focused team
- Experience developing or supporting complex optical-mechanical systems or assemblies
- Experience in optoelectronics, sensor technology, microscopy, optics, or systems design/support
- Enjoy hand-on laboratory work and proficient in the design/build/automation of an optics or optoelectronics bench
- Deep understanding of lithography and semiconductor manufacturing process
Responsibilities
- Defining the subsystem requirements and ensuring proper implementation
- Understanding and/or owning the top level system specifications, system error budget, interfaces and working parameters for optimum hardware/software integration
- Working effectively with team members from all functions, including suppliers, to implement features that optimize performance, manufacturability, serviceability, diagnostics, cycle time, COGS, quality and reliability
- Communicating consistently across multiple groups at KLA and with suppliers
