Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with program integration and logistics planning of Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, or hardware systems
  • 5+ years of experience with DoD Acquisition Program Management, Acquisition Planning, Sustainment Infrastructure, and Organizational Planning
  • Experience with acquisition management support, including developing and coordinating briefings
  • Knowledge of the execution processes unique to the sustainment and logistics organization
  • Knowledge of Justification and Authorization (JA), Interim Contractor Support (ICS), or organic support attributes
  • Ability to demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and be highly motivated to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and control contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a project or program through designated phases of the acquisition cycle
  • Develop the management and acquisition strategy for assigned projects or programs within cost, schedule, and performance baselines as directed by the Program Director
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate activities of functional specialists, including contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration or data management, testing, and logistics
  • Create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to obtain concurrence and deliver meaningful acquisition support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems, including SBIRS, Next Generation OPIR, FORGE, STSS, HBTSS, DMSP, WSF-M, and EWS
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or 5000.02
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.87 and the Software Acquisition Pathway
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to lead IPTs, WGs, PSRs, PMR, and other Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM)
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS
  • PMP Certification
