Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Completed formal Surgical Technology Training Program or the equivalent
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- 1 year of relevant experience required
Responsibilities
- Perform technical skills related to intraoperative patient care
- Perform the scrub role in various surgical procedures, including Cardiac cases
- Provide emergency care measures as appropriate
- Assist in meeting the patient’s emotional needs
- Follow universal precautions, safe handling guidelines, and infection control standards
- Maintain a clean/organized perioperative unit
- Promote a positive attitude to staff, families, and patient/guests
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Work under direct supervision of PCC-RN and general supervision of Perioperative Managers
- Contribute to organizational effectiveness and demonstrate career growth and development
- Work variable rotating shifts as assigned
- Call assigned on a rotating basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Operating Room as Surgical Technologist preferred
- 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
