Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or the Successful Completion of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology
- AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days of hire Required
Responsibilities
- Maintains responsibility for preparation of the surgical suite
- Intraoperative handling of instruments
- Maintenance of the sterile field
- Evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures
- Making appropriate responses as needed
- Maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and principles related to those procedures
- May serve as a Preceptor
Preferred Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist Experience (Clinical rotations do count as experience)
