Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous healthcare coding experience required
- Knowledgeable about third party billing regulations and CPT/ICD coding
- Proficient computer and data entry skills
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications
- Proven record of dependability
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail Oriented and ability to appropriately prioritize work
- Effective time-management skills
Responsibilities
- Review chart documentation to extract appropriate procedural, E/M, and ICD-10 codes
- Interact with PPN providers to enhance physician engagement and confidence by providing feedback and education as requested
Preferred Qualifications
- AAPC or AHIMA coding certification preferred
