Requirements

• Associates degree in business management or related field and/or equivalent combination of education
• Experience in health care environment with particular emphasis on patient transportation
• Supervisory experience preferred, in a health care environment

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, manages and evaluates patient care and transportation activities
• Plans and develops strategic short, mid- and long-term goals and processes to enhance and improve the operations of the department
• Evaluates and identifies achievements and problems in meeting goals
• Supervises, guides, coaches, and evaluates the work performance of patient transportation staff
• Promotes and ensures ongoing collaboration with other departments and areas that relate directly or indirectly to patient transport operations and services
• Develops, administers and manages unit budget plans under the direction of the department Director
• Identifies, plans and initiates cost saving initiatives
• Participates in development of evidence-based standards of practice
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in transportation and organizational processes
• Assumes leadership in identifying and correcting factors contributing to problematic outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience preferred, in a health care environment
