Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on direct material purchasing, production planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Strong experience with MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and a solid understanding of supply chain software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead direct material purchasing activities to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Manage the handoff of supplier relationships, and ensure optimal cost-effectiveness in procurement with Strategic Sourcing coordination.
  • Monitor inventory levels to minimize excess stock and prevent shortages, ensuring cost-effective material flows.
  • Develop and execute production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and capacity constraints.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to adjust production schedules as needed to meet changing priorities.
  • Ensure production plans align with overall supply chain objectives to maintain optimal service levels.
  • Oversee the effective use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to generate accurate demand forecasts and procurement schedules.
  • Work with the IT and systems teams to optimize MRP parameters, ensuring alignment with business needs and continuous improvement in system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MRP-related issues, ensuring smooth execution of procurement and production planning activities.
  • Prepare & lead the Supply Reviews for the US planning activities.
  • Identify critical mid to long term bottlenecks & define mitigation plan to alleviate the risks in collaboration with the advanced planning team.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize inventory levels and reduce working capital, balancing the need for customer satisfaction with cost control.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory turnover, lead times, and stock levels to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement best practices in inventory management and develop strategies to improve service levels while reducing excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination between demand, production, and procurement.
  • Report regularly on supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on key supply chain metrics, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, backorder management, and procurement costs.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations to improve processes.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing inventory, procurement, and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of the SIOP (S&OP/IBP) process.
  • Strong ability to conduct the change.
  • Capacity to continuously adapt tactics to a fast-moving environment.
