Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Quantitative or Technical field.
  • 2-5 years experience in commodity management, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • In-depth experience sourcing at least one of the following components: Semiconductors, Electromechanicals or Interconnects
  • 2-5 years experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with engineering teams to develop technology roadmaps and supporting sourcing strategies.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with executive business partners both internally and externally to drive alignment to strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data and create resource management BI dashboards / tools across businesses.
  • Ability to present complex technology and business objectives in a concise and understandable manner.
  • Must have confidence to pushback on decisions that do not align with core business objectives and quantity and propose alternate solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the analysis of the spending patterns for savings opportunities through the category and become a subject matter expert for the verticals with which you are engaged.
  • Manage supplier relationships and establish yourself as a primary business contact for key suppliers.
  • Create RFQs/SOWs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations.
  • Develop and negotiate favorable commercial agreements including supplier responsibility, unit pricing, and lead times to set Lunar Energy up for long term success while collaborating with our Legal team for optimal terms and conditions.
  • Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production, and develop solutions for delays or problems that arise.
  • Identify and drive year over year cost optimization through consolidation of supply chain and components and strategic negotiations.
  • Drive ‘Early Supplier Involvement’ initiatives to ensure our suppliers are proactively providing input into new product designs and future product roadmaps.
  • Maintain the health of supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, parts availability, and cost status.
  • Monitor industry and global market conditions, track technology roadmaps, identify supply and demand challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and costs, logistics, market intelligence, and apply these learnings to future sourcing strategies.
  • Organize and support onsite visits and audits of key suppliers and contract manufacturers to perform due diligence prior to contract award, and as needed, post award to ensure adherence to commitments.
