Requirements

  • Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes
  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of the importance of ‘big picture’ thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement end-to-end value chain solutions in alignment with the product strategy
  • Lead and manage the deployment of projects centered around OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA) as applicable
  • Develop and coordinate the structure, resources, and work plans for multiple, cross functional teams to deliver projects from strategy to execution
  • Work with Global Transportation and Logistics teams to implement transportation and logistics solutions required to optimize the network
  • Lead collaboration and communication across multiple business division functions, to effectively deploy lean product and network flow plans, which may include implementing changes to product price list, options and structure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or other related discipline
  • Extensive experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory / Value Chain Management or Engineering
  • CPS, Six Sigma Black Belt or project management experience
  • Previous experience with or exposure to Earthmoving products
  • Experience as a strong collaborator including interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive common value chain processes across multiple facilities within a product.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems
  • Caterpillar Product knowledge
  • APICS, CPIM, or CSCP National Certification
