Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing)
Quality or manufacturing background
Knowledge of quality tools and ISO9001 QMS requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
Problem solving techniques
Ability to cope with multiple complex situations on a daily basis

Support incoming inspection and/or production floor in returning defective material to the appropriate supplier
Write and/or disposition non-conforming material reports (NCR)
Maintain Return to Vendor
Providing guidance to suppliers to ensure product/process compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, Waygate quality requirements
Participate within MRB (Management Review Board) meetings
Execute supplier quality activities including issues resolution (SCAR), supplier qualifications (incl. use of ESQM tool), process control and quality assurance of purchased materials
Monitor and drive for Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction for supplier related defects
Work collaboratively with the Incoming Inspection quality teams
Assist with first piece qualifications
Communicate with suppliers regarding defective product
