Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in (Supplier Quality / Supplier Development) experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of Supplier quality/Supplier Development experience
- Ability to travel as needed to supplier locations
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
- Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, new product introduction and readiness, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
- Collaborates with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrates technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors and solve problems
- Exhibits depth and/or breadth of expertise in supplier quality
- Serves as a quality resource to the business
- Contributes to the development of strategy and policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
- Ability to communicate complex messages to others and influence outcomes
- May lead projects with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement
- Develops networks and is able to work through complex issues to build consensus with the team
- Impacts approaches, projects and programs supporting the business organization and ways of working
- Uses sound judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function as well as cross-functional impact
- Creative problem solver, using new perspective on existing solutions
- Uses technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations
