Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in (Supplier Quality / Supplier Development) experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supplier quality/Supplier Development experience
  • Ability to travel as needed to supplier locations
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
  • Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, new product introduction and readiness, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
  • Collaborates with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Demonstrates technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors and solve problems
  • Exhibits depth and/or breadth of expertise in supplier quality
  • Serves as a quality resource to the business
  • Contributes to the development of strategy and policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate complex messages to others and influence outcomes
  • May lead projects with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement
  • Develops networks and is able to work through complex issues to build consensus with the team
  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs supporting the business organization and ways of working
  • Uses sound judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function as well as cross-functional impact
  • Creative problem solver, using new perspective on existing solutions
  • Uses technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations
