Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
- Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
- Knowledge of Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) elements, submissions, and objectives; ability to determine whether a supplier can manufacture products that meet the quality requirements and standards of their customers consistently.
Responsibilities
- Performing quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Monitoring engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices; participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
- Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
- Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.
- Conducts investigations and analyses which contribute to the development and implementation of methods, procedures and equipment that ensure quality standards for parts and prime products.
- Ensuring the quality of supplies by conducting tests and assessments on incoming supplies to identify any quality issues; Developing supplier inspection, testing, and evaluation mechanism.
- Generating reports on supplier quality, by monitoring their defect rates and areas that can lead to potential flaws; Adjusting internal audit and inspection plans based off of determined risk.
