Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years related experience.
- Thorough knowledge in mechanical and electrical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, structural fabrication, and welding practices.
- Functional testing experience (mechanical/hydraulic/electrical/structural load).
- Familiarity with Part finishing (electropolish/anodize/passivate/paint).
- Ability to become Level II inspector.
- Eligibility to access nuclear plants.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve internal and detail schedules, and report overall status of progress and performance.
- Plan the release of manufacturing orders and purchase requisitions.
- Hold production status meetings.
- Interact with counterparts, to establish priorities, identify problem areas, and recommend corrective action.
- Exchange other pertinent information as applicable.
- Review reports for integrity of data and initiate corrective action of incorrect information.
- Assist in preparing quotations and cost to complete estimates.
- Set production related priorities, monitoring adherence to schedules, providing all documentation, tooling, and materials required for production.
- Interface with suppliers, including making visits as appropriate. Support inspection, including personally performing inspections when applicable.
- Determine appropriate action to offset schedule slips, material shortages.
- Support customer visits and equipment demonstrations. Approx. 10% travel required for position.
