Requirements
- High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work
- Currently enrolled in a McGill undergraduate or graduate program
- Knowledge of French and English
- Must successfully pass their criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome campers as they arrive at camp
- Liaise with campers’ parents in regard to campers’ specific needs and progress
- Lead and supervise campers and facilitate their participation during activities (i.e. tag, dodgeball, soccer and other basic games) to create a positive and memorable experience for all participants
- Design, plan and coordinate activities to meet objectives within an established operating schedule
- Assist with specialist led activities (i.e. aquatics, tennis, martial arts, basketball)
- Know, enforce and follow all safety guidelines and understand all emergency procedures associated with the camp and communicate all issues requiring attention to Section Leaders immediately
- Ensure safe movement of campers from one activity to another throughout the sports complex
- Monitor environment to ensure safety of campers and report any issues with campers and/or facilities to camp administration and report or contact the Winsor clinic staff in the event of any incidents requiring immediate medical attention
