Requirements
- Individuals currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field, from an accredited institution.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data to identify trends is required.
- Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments.
- Ability to function in a multi-discipline team.
- Must be able to travel independently to facilities across the country if needed.
- Must be able to perform plant walk-downs and inspections around heavy industrial equipment within the Waste-to-Energy facilities.
Responsibilities
- Support design engineering scope development and execution, as part of capital projects.
- Collection and review of plant technical information including review and development of civil and structural engineering documents.
- Review civil and structural specifications.
- Review civil and structural drawings.
- Evaluation of vendor proposals for plant modifications.
- Concept development including civil and structural design calculations for facilities.
- Field/Construction inspections and commissioning support.
- Support Plant Support Engineering work for remediation of civil/structural aspects to support ongoing plant operations.
- Participate in structural assessments and inspections of major plant infrastructure.
- Review Structural Inspection reports and create remediation plans.
- Review technical drawings for structural assessments and verify integrity of major infrastructure.
- Prepare Cost Estimates including evaluation of vendor proposals for plant modifications.
