Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with DoD systems engineering
- Ability to learn and grow a combat weapons systems engineering skillset
- Ability to analyze and process engineering program documentation
- Ability to assess and update spend plans
- Ability to develop, document, and implement new processes
- Ability to analyze program risks and develop risk assessments
- Ability to be proactive and work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to travel to support the client approximately 1-3 times per year
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
Responsibilities
- Apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems
- Perform work that links fleet and programmatic needs and commercial applications
- Design products and build and manage parts and machinery requirements
- Improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology
- Analyze the impact of the products developed or the systems designed on the environment and on the people using them
- Work in testing, production, or maintenance by supervising production in factories and labs
- Determine the causes of breakdowns and the testing of manufactured products to maintain quality
- Estimate the time and cost to complete projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NAVSEA or Team Submarine
- Experience with U.S. Naval weapons systems processes and practices
- Experience with the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS) or BYG-1 submarine combat system
- International Council on Systems Engineering: Associate Systems Engineering Professional (INCOSE ASEP) certification
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) certification, such as SysML, MBSE, Agile MBSE, or OCSMP
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
