Requirements
- Successfully completed Basic W
- At least sophomore standing at SMC
- Nominated by the instructor of the course or the chair of the department/program
- Provide a resume
- Interview with the WTC director
- Required to take the Tutoring Theory course every semester they tutor
Responsibilities
- Support students in particular disciplines or courses
- Further develop students’ study skills
- Prepare students for class assessment
- Help students master class material
Preferred Qualifications
- Availability Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday from 6-8
