Requirements
- Must currently be enrolled in registered nurse program
- High School graduation or completion of G.E.D verified
- Successful completion of the fundamentals of nursing
- Successful nurse aide training and state certification
- Nurse aide experience
Responsibilities
- Provides general nursing care (i.e., personal hygiene, routine vital signs, passing and picking up meal trays, positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, providing fresh water, applying/utilizing special equipment, assisting in the use of bedpan, urinal, or commode, ambulating the patient, pre and post-operative care, application of abdominal binders)
- Performs routine treatment procedures including enemas, application of appliances of heat and cold, sitz baths, and specimen collections
- Follows Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures
- Professional Practice is based on the theoretical framework of nursing at Baptist Health Paducah including principles of Relationship-Based Care.
