Strategic Procurement Specialist

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of procurement experience in the Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry.
Strong understanding of government regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience collaborating with engineering teams on technical procurement needs.
Proven track record of cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.

Develop and execute procurement strategies for Aerospace, Space and Defense programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Collaborate with engineering teams on multiple programs to understand technical requirements and source optimal materials and components.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, cost efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
Analyze cost structures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and performance.
Ensure compliance with ITAR, FAR, DFARS, and other relevant government regulations.
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain market intelligence to stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.
Work cross-functionally with finance, quality, and program management teams to optimize procurement processes.
