Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement with an emphasis in Marketing and Technology. Experience in one or more categories, including Marketing, Sales, IT hardware/software, and Professional Services/Consulting
- In depth knowledge and experience in managing procurement projects in indirect spend categories
- High level of proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices
- Ability to influence peers and leadership both internally and externally
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Strong experience with P2P Solutions like NetSuite, Ariba, One Trust, CLM’s etc
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers
- Works well under pressure, ability to multitask, and is comfortable working under minimal direction
- Experience in Supplier engagement: Onboarding, pricing and contract negotiation, performance management
- Experience in driving a change with process improvement and required system definition and implementation
Responsibilities
- Manage the contract life cycle for some of the following Categories; Marketing, Marketing Technology Software, Professional Services, Consulting, Facilities and other spend categories as assigned
- Collaborate effectively internally with Stakeholders and Suppliers to drive purchases to completion while ensuring the best value for the company
- Compile key market intelligence on key categories and suppliers to develop category strategies
- Develop new effective business and professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players to bring value back to Boomi
- Draft and redline a wide variety of agreements, such as Software License Agreements, Master Agreements, SOW’s etc
- Deliver value and savings back to the business in the form of reduced pricing, additional products, and/or concessions
- Negotiate business terms such as pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, price protection etc
- Effectively and confidently communicate both positive and negative messages to suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Manage and drive RFP’s and RFQ’s in systems like Workday
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of formal project management experience and/or analytics experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
- Netsuite Experience
- Jira Experience
