Requirements

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of related medical sales/marketing/clinical experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and develop relationships with executives of medical facilities and key IDN customers.
  • Ability to learn and understand the clinical use and application of Merit Medical products.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, establish, and maintain strategic working relationships with targeted Outpatient Labs at an executive level.
  • Negotiate shared value agreements with targeted, strategic Outpatient Lab customers.
  • Leverage and expand market penetration of Merit Medical products.
  • Align strategies with GPO agreements.
  • Represent and interpret national Lab contracts within all key customers; meet with national customers to review existing agreements and to identify/target sales opportunities.
  • Develop working relationships with Merit Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
  • Provides economic buyer sales training to Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for market expansion through Shared Value Lab agreements.
  • Represent Merit at targeted industry meetings and conferences; promote products and educate internal and external customers.
  • Performs other sales related duties, as required.
