Requirements
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- A minimum of seven years of related medical sales/marketing/clinical experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and develop relationships with executives of medical facilities and key IDN customers.
- Ability to learn and understand the clinical use and application of Merit Medical products.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Excellent training and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, establish, and maintain strategic working relationships with targeted Outpatient Labs at an executive level.
- Negotiate shared value agreements with targeted, strategic Outpatient Lab customers.
- Leverage and expand market penetration of Merit Medical products.
- Align strategies with GPO agreements.
- Represent and interpret national Lab contracts within all key customers; meet with national customers to review existing agreements and to identify/target sales opportunities.
- Develop working relationships with Merit Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
- Provides economic buyer sales training to Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
- Identify strategic opportunities for market expansion through Shared Value Lab agreements.
- Represent Merit at targeted industry meetings and conferences; promote products and educate internal and external customers.
- Performs other sales related duties, as required.
