Requirements
- Graduate of high school or GED equivalency examination
- Employee must be certified and be able to maintain a certification in sterile processing from CRCST – HSPA or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)
- Ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of processes
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure health care environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills required
- Detail oriented required
Responsibilities
- Decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures, state, local and federal requirements
