Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, or healthcare recruiting; experience in a long-term care or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, management, and candidates.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and HR systems; experience with Veras is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Team player with a proactive and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain monthly nursing schedules, coordinating staff requests to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Track and update daily attendance records, including tardiness and absenteeism.
  • Notify the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) regarding employees with excessive absences or tardiness in accordance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and DNS to schedule modified-duty employees in compliance with medical restrictions and company policy.
  • Support the recruitment process by assisting with candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding activities.
  • Guide employees in accurately completing scheduling-related forms, such as timecards, leave requests, and day-off submissions.
  • Finalize and post staff schedules in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the preparation, submission, and filing of reports and documentation as required by company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional staffing and recruitment-related tasks as assigned to support departmental operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a long-term care or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
