Requirements
- Strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting
- 5+ years of experience in a Big Four accounting firm
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Capability to influence key organizational decisions
Responsibilities
- Preparing and filing quarterly, annual, and other financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
- Collaborating closely with Qualcomm’s business units and corporate functions to determine and document the proper accounting treatment of complex and/or new types of transactions
- Leading projects to assist and advise business units and corporate functions on accounting for acquisitions and dispositions, implementing new accounting guidance, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tech industry
- Experience with XBRL tagging
- Aptitude for systems (e.g., WDesk, Oracle, HFM, Microsoft) and accounting process flows
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization
- Technical leadership role with or without direct reports
- CPA Certification or country equivalent
