Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience solving complex technical problems at the Staff-level.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience building web applications and APIs.
  • Experience in environments with continuous integration and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain web applications for the Loop product line, driving technical decisions and ensuring high-quality code.
  • Solve complex technical issues for merchants, customers, internal stakeholders, and partners, ensuring an exceptional user experience.
  • Diagnose system and team issues and bring solutions and plans to the table in order to promote and drive healthy change into teams and the product.
  • Develop solid automated tests to ensure code quality.
  • Maintain a healthy, continuous integration and deployment process.
  • Lead, assess, and make recommendations for engineering best practices to ensure effective scaling, contributing to long-term system scalability and stability.
  • Define and enforce technical standards, strategies, and vision across the organization, improving the overall quality and consistency of the codebase.
  • Elevate the engineering culture at Loop by fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and proactively seek opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of ownership over your work and its impact.
  • Lead initiatives and take action to address problems without waiting for explicit permission, tackling complex technical challenges that may impact multiple teams.
