Requirements
- 10+ years in the design and development of highly scalable distributed applications and platforms, particularly for multi-tenant, SaaS products.
- 2+ years of experience with GraphQL.
- Experience building a ‘Code, Deploy, Run’ pipeline using DevOps best practices with CI/CD tools.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Microservices, and Cloud Native Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and RESTful web services development in Java SpringBoot, Spring Kafka, or equivalent frameworks.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- In-depth knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture, Microservice Architecture, and related stacks (Service Registry, ELK/Splunk, VMs, etc.) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure/Google Cloud).
- Self-starter with the ability to multitask across several priority areas.
- Strong desire to drive change and adapt quickly.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building.
- Ability to influence and persuade without direct control.
- Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.

- Leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Deliver outstanding products.
- Collaborate with Distinguished & Principal Architects.
- Follow established practices to meet QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) standards within architectural guidelines.
- Participate in hiring.
- Build and enable high-performing agile teams.
- Create high-level and low-level designs.
- Drive the design process.
- Develop and enforce quality standards, best practices, and non-functional standards.
- Guide teams in executing these standards.
- Mentor and lead a team of engineers.
- Lead one or more teams as a team lead.
- Influence teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Implement cutting-edge models and algorithms operating on massive data.
- Engage with Walmart’s cross-functional engineering teams (cloud, platform, analytics, etc.) across geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
