Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Ph.D. in Immunology or related biological science with a strong focus on antibody-based research preferred
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of industry experience in antibody-based studies for therapeutics
  • Extensive hands-on experience in the development, optimization, and validation of antibodies (e.g., AKTA FPLC purification, Meso Scale Discovery and other immune-based techniques)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex scientific projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using scientific software and laboratory automation tools

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee antibody and antibody variant (e.g., Fab, scFv, full-length IgG) generation and purification campaigns
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of antigen preparation strategies (e.g., recombinant protein expression – eukaryotic and mammalian systems)
  • Perform and contribute to hybridoma and single B cell cloning methods for monoclonal antibody campaigns
  • Characterize binding specificity, affinity, and cross-reactivity of antibody reagents using ELISA, SPR/BLI and other immunoassays
  • Analyze complex data, prepare reports, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor and lead junior scientists and provide guidance in assay development, data interpretation, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with other groups within Labcorp to ensure seamless integration of ARV services into product development programs
  • Stay current with scientific advances in antibody discovery and reagent technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with gene therapies, biosimilars, display technologies or novel biologics
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidance for Anti-Drug Antibody and PK testing for biologics
  • Experience with assay development in a GLP environment
