Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Project Management, Aeronautical)
  • Minimum of 10 yrs experience in design and development testing within a relevant engineering sector (Aerospace, Automotive, Test Equipment)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sub-contract management for the procurement of Test Equipment within a relevant engineering sector
  • Experienced in the use of MS Project
  • Must be able to obtain US/ UK Security Clearance as applicable

Responsibilities

  • Project Management of external test equipment vendors
  • Matrix management of circa 6 staff shared across the MGS TE function and other supporting functions
  • Ensure fulfillment of testing capabilities in line with contractual requirements through effective project management of selected test equipment vendors
  • Create and present comprehensive Test Equipment Proposals, including resource-loaded schedules, to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop accurate and detailed Test Equipment Requirement Specifications and Statements of Work to support Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from external vendors
  • Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams and manage external vendors across multiple locations to define and deliver complex test system solutions in accordance with established development processes and procedures
  • Manage project schedules, resource planning, and financial forecasting. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management
  • Generate, update, and formally release Test Equipment documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as Contractor Coordinator by reviewing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), conducting inductions, and overseeing subcontractor activities at Moog or customer facilities
  • Coordinate timely resolution of Corrective Actions, Significant Issues, and Non-Conformances related to Test Equipment systems, components, or processes
  • Support investigations into root causes of issues affecting Test Equipment systems and components
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety practices. Identify and address new risks, contribute to the development and review of Risk Assessments, and ensure compliance during all work activities
  • Support internal and external quality audits of deployed Test Equipment systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Project Management qualification (APM, etc) would be beneficial, but not essential
