Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with process engineering in a pilot line or fast-paced manufacturing environment, such as NPI or scale-up.
- Demonstrated track record of innovative development and desire to roll up your sleeves and fill the gaps where necessary.
- Proficiency with statistical methods and tools for making process development decisions (using JMP, Minitab, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with metallurgical or property-enhancing techniques a plus (e.g. powder processing and thermal treatments).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation for best-in-class practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with our Manufacturing Equipment Team to design, build, install, and run processes on first-of-kind manufacturing equipment.
- Commission and qualify processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight timelines.
- Perform equipment and process capability studies while documenting and continuously improving the process steps that deliver Form’s Iron anodes.
- Develop novel test methods to evaluate product quality and inform process window optimization strategies.
- Mentor, guide, and support technicians and junior process engineers on new manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Be a champion for safety while scaling initial process designs to full production volume.
