Staff Physician – Ob/Gyn

Requirements

• Experience and training as a physician, having completed a US-accredited medical school degree, and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology or its equivalent.
• Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.
• Board certification required or Board Eligible, with the expectation to become board certified within 30 months of employment.
• Previous experience with computer-based systems required; Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide Obstetrics and Gynecology medical care to the patients of AltaMed.
• Deliver care and services aligned with AltaMed’s Team-Based Care Model, focused on population health, evidence-based medicine, appropriate resource use, and integrated delivery of care.
• Participate as an active, engaged member of the AltaMed Provider group, including sharing responsibilities in the care of patients, cross-coverage, peer review, provider meetings, CME, and advancing AltaMed as a provider-led organization.
• Manage a clinic panel, including health outcomes, patient experience, and overall patient care (both internal and external).
• Report to the Site Medical Director with strong collaboration and oversight by the head of Women’s Health and the Regional Medical Director.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
