Requirements
- 8+ years of industry and academic experience in Python and/or C++
- Specialized expertise in optical metrology methods
- Specialized expertise in camera systems
- Specialized expertise in imaging instrumentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred
- Proven expertise in image processing and computer vision
- Exceptional software architect with a talent for designing resilient, scalable project architectures
- Proven innovator in test automation and custom optical test system development
- Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and draw meaningful insights from complex optical experiments
- Master of critical analysis, capable of troubleshooting advanced optical metrology tools and delivering statistically rigorous performance evaluations
Responsibilities
- Architect cutting-edge test metrics, stations, and alignment systems for prototype AR display components
- Develop sophisticated image processing algorithms to enhance visual performance and push the boundaries of image quality metrics
- Design and implement scalable, robust software solutions that drive innovation across multiple technological domains
- Pioneer automation strategies for image capture and processing, dramatically improving efficiency and experimental repeatability
- Foster cross-team collaboration to deeply understand and optimize complex technological ecosystems
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with computer vision libraries (OpenCV, SciPy, Pillow)
- Experience developing intuitive, user-centric GUI applications
- Deep understanding of color science and colorimetry
- Background in AR/VR technology innovation
