Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 10 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 7 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
- Proficient in designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing RADAR subsystems for radar platforms
- Proficient in decomposing, deriving, allocating, and tracing requirements from system to component level
- Proficient in analyzing system requirements to derive software design specifications
- Proficient in C and Assembly languages
- Proficient in developing OFPs targeted at real-time embedded operating systems (VxWorks, pSOS)
- Proficient in designing and coding new software, as well as modifying existing software to add new features
- Proficient with Matlab
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
- Self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using software development best practices and standards.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, to include requirements development, modeling and design, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
- Ability to provide leadership in solving complex problems.
- Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TMS320C30 processors
- Experience with MIL-STD-1553
- Experience with software version control tools such as Git
- Experience with digital processor simulation/emulation
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing
- Experience developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap, aligning software engineering best practices with business objectives
- Experience with digital signal processing
- Experience using Jira/Bitbucket
- Experience with the Agile software development process
- Experience interfacing with customers and/or stakeholders
- Hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
