Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
  • Minimum of 12 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 10 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 7 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
  • Proficient in designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing RADAR subsystems for radar platforms
  • Proficient in decomposing, deriving, allocating, and tracing requirements from system to component level
  • Proficient in analyzing system requirements to derive software design specifications
  • Proficient in C and Assembly languages
  • Proficient in developing OFPs targeted at real-time embedded operating systems (VxWorks, pSOS)
  • Proficient in designing and coding new software, as well as modifying existing software to add new features
  • Proficient with Matlab
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
  • Self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using software development best practices and standards.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, to include requirements development, modeling and design, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to provide leadership in solving complex problems.
  • Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role.

  • Experience with TMS320C30 processors
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1553
  • Experience with software version control tools such as Git
  • Experience with digital processor simulation/emulation
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing
  • Experience developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap, aligning software engineering best practices with business objectives
  • Experience with digital signal processing
  • Experience using Jira/Bitbucket
  • Experience with the Agile software development process
  • Experience interfacing with customers and/or stakeholders
  • Hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
