Staff Accountant

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Solid understanding of the accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Superb time management and detail orientation.
• Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheet, Excel.
• Ability to keep company and partner confidences
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for various accruals at month end and assigned reconciliations
• Owning prepaid schedule and monthly reconciliation
• Collaborate with the cash application team to accurately book the receivable or any open transaction before the end of month.
• Recording credit card transactions and maintaining accurate records as needed.
• Assist in managing AP inbox and other AP related tasks as needed.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, i.e. journal entries and account reconciliations
• Managing a few different payment processors in house, including but not limited to Rippling, Tiplati, and Deel.
• Supporting the procurement team with coding accuracy and guidance as required.
• Prepare various balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for management reporting
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement, including engage cross functionally on such initiatives
• Assist on projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed
• Provide schedules as needed for audit and SOX
• Have experience with foreign currency accounting to assist with inter-co and international transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous startup experience
• Previous experience in the healthcare industry
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or similar financial systems strongly preferred.
