Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active license in the state where the position is located
- More than eight years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation
- Prior insurance defense experience in personal lines bodily injury, home-owners liability, first party property, subrogation, commercial premises liability, and commercial auto
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates trial advocacy skills independently as lead counsel or as part of a team
- Requires minimal managerial oversight and guidance
- Adept at utilizing technology and collaborating with support staff for efficient case management
- Demonstrates awareness of changes to the law and procedural requirements
- Provides sound opinions on case valuations that are communicated to clients
- Establishes and maintains strong professional relationships with key associates
- Communicates effectively to meet client and internal expectations
- Serves as a mentor for junior attorneys and NTD staff
