Requirements
- Proven track record of working with test, flight, and safety-critical hardware, tools, and shop equipment
- Previous experience with spacecraft/satellite functional test development and/or execution, hardware ownership (responsible engineer), or hardware qualification and/or acceptance testing
- B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
- Direct experience developing test infrastructure, integrating the test articles, and testing Major Assembly Spacecraft Test Articles with an emphasis on Electrical systems
- Experience with analytical and scripting tools: Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and technical requirements
- Ability to perform data analysis and reduction and present technical information in a clear and compelling visual format
- Strong safety demeanor and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, architecture, and coordination of the resources vital to execute the testing of electrical systems for development and verification successfully.
- Coordinate with the design engineer subject matter experts across each affected system under test to integrate the identified System verification requirements into the detailed test plan for the development risk reduction and/or verification run for record event as appropriate.
- Lead the conduct of Test Design Reviews, Integration Readiness Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews for your events.
- Lead all aspects of several test projects simultaneously
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule and technical risks
- Contribute to the mentoring & training of other personnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on test and production facility, factory or laboratory experience
- Hands on experience developing and maintaining test scripts
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software integration labs (SIL)
- Experience with requirements development/management tools; DOORS, DOORS Next Gen and lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data, Windchill
- Hands-on testing experience in thermal, vibration, shock and vacuum testing on flight hardware in accordance with MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-1540
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
