Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or an equivalent technical field.
- 9+ years’ experience in design, development, integration, or testing – preferably with aerospace hardware or complex technical systems – and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational / coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability in building trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
- Drive decisive action by identifying critical decisions required to progress the program and facilitate decision-making at the program level to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Implement structured change management processes to adapt to evolving project requirement, efficiently process changes, and ensure changes are communicated effectively across the team.
- Assist in the verification processes required for government certification of the New Glenn launch system and ensure all documentation and processes meet regulatory standards and requirement.
- Strategically drive innovation around tracking and measuring execution performance of development programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements to form the baseline program plan for the next generation launch vehicle for New Glenn.
- Integrate cross-functional, cross-organizational, and geographically separated groups to work towards a single plan in a cohesive manner, fostering collaboration and ensuring all teams are aligned with the program objectives and timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in development of launch vehicles.
- Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systems.
- Experience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, Windchill.
- Experience with data analytics.
- Working familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Tableau.
- Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle.
