Sr. Systems Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
2 years of experience in the job offered or in a systems engineer or support engineer related occupation
1 year of hands-on experience with On-Prem container Infrastructure
1 year of Linux Systems Administration
2 years of Scripting experience with Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform and YAML packages
Experience with configuration management tools, such as Chef, Ansible, or Terraform
Experience working with tools surrounding the Kubernetes ecosystem, such as helm, kubeadm, CSI, or CNI
Experience with CI/CD or GitOps pipeline Architecture, including ArgoCD, Code Fresh, and Jenkins
Familiarity with infrastructure technologies, such as HP and DELL hardware (Rack servers)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools Prometheus, Graphana, Fluentbit, Netcool, and Humio
Experience with microservices based applications traffic routing, including Istio ServiceMesh
Understanding of networking concepts

Provide Infrastructure Operations and Production Support of container technologies and orchestration platforms
Perform Docker/Kubernetes deployment, configuration, scaling, and management of containerized applications
Harden and secure the Kubernetes cluster with monitoring and auditing dashboards
Explain technical concepts and provide guidance to staff
Partner with the Platform, Engineering and Delivery Teams to deliver seamless infrastructure support for all Visa business lines
Work on the Security Remediation process (vulnerability assessment and patch management)
Contribute to standardized operating procedures
Adhere to established ITIL practices such as Incident, Change, Problem and Release Management
Be scheduled On-Call to support the infrastructure and our systems
